What makes us different?

  • The Roof!

The roof is the best thing about our campers. Because the edge of many* campers have a seam and require maintenance. Our roof is an inverted PVC ‘cookie sheet’. That means that the edges are folded .25” PVC. The few seams are welded together. If that weren’t enough there’s a layer of Ice and Water shield under the roof.

*Riveted aluminum and fiberglass trailers are also really waterproof.

  • The walls!

The walls and the structure of the roof and floor are important too. AxelCampers are a composite that has between 1.5” and 2” of insulation. They’re very light, which means we can produce a camper that is both larger and lighter.

  • The connections!

All of the composite panels are screwed and glued together. They’re also braced by strategically placed bulkheads. Everything wraps the layer below: the roof pan wraps the walls and the walls reach around below to wrap the floor. This provides both strength and weather resistance.

  • The Arrow: Built to maximize space

By using the outdoors as space and providing 2 hatches and 2 doors the Arrow gives you more than you’d expect, including a place for a bathroom and a shower. But the low form factor means it can be tucked in a garage and goes down the road without destroying fuel mileage. Because it’s light you don’t need a special vehicle to tow it.

  • The Sleuth: Meant for any truck

Currently it weighs in at 600 pounds but we’re working on a new version that should be much lighter. A hatch means that you can stand up in a camper that doesn’t tower over your truck. It’s a cozy retreat you can take where ever your truck goes. And you can even tow your boat.

  • The Dart: Designed for the toughest trails

The Dart is a short camper with loads of storage. Lighter than the Arrow and with a better departure angle, it can have a 20” ground clearance when equipped with Timbren suspension. But where ever you go you’ll still have a kitchen and a cabin with a comfortable queen bed.
